A full day in Samburu National Park.  Original plan was to return to the bandas for a second night, but at breakfast we learned they had double booked, so we re-loaded the van and set off for the park, with the promise of new accommodations for the night.

During an afternoon break by the pool of a fancy "lodge" we shared the poolside with a troop of vervet monkeys

before seeing more wildlife on our way to our camp for the night, run by a local family inside the national park

so much inside the park, that in the morning animal tracks could be seen crossing the path between the tents and the toilet/shower block (they looked like big cat prints to me, but may have been hyenas).
