We went for a pre-breakfast drive,  past hot air balloons being launched and finding a pride of lionesses out looking for their meal for the day, and then returning to the cubs they had hidden while doing so. An injured lioness we had seen the day before rejoined the pride.

Then we set off down a different dirt and stone road on our way to Kisumu, Kenya's third largest city.

After rejoining a tarmac road, we passed through the tea growing area and many small towns.
